活動回顧 ： 好好終老 死是一瞬間的事,終老卻可能漫長得不能掌握, 往往最令人縈繞心間。
「港崖別岸」生死教育系列於六月二十七日網上舉行「英國長者護理: 社區對話與分享」網上講座,嘗試
為各會友提供一點資訊,由從事長者護理服務顧問多年的Mr Tim Woodford 主講,Ms Monica Ng
担任主持。
Tim首先簡介英國各種長者護理服務、有關費用、支援方案及政府的支助,終老畢竟是一個過程,有些人能如願在家終老,有些人可能更需要留在Caring 或 Residential Home, Tim提醒參加者須預早準備 Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA),並按長者的情況和照顧者的能力,及早準備最適切的安排。
選擇在英國終老,始終仍會是滿腦疑問,講座末段的答問環節,最重心的問題是有專為移英港人的長者護理服務嗎?未存在不等如不會存在,又可能是另一契機。
