HK Revisited - Oral History: Volunteer Briefing & Training Workshops
Preserving personal memories, oral histories, and family archives — piecing together our shared community story.
Bringing together history, culture, and community…
Connecting former Hong Kong Chinese emigrants and newly arrived Hongkongers in the UK through meaningful encounters.
All interview materials will be carefully organised and edited, then compiled and preserved as an authentic historical archive of Hongkongers’ lives in the United Kingdom.
We are now inviting volunteers to join this project. We welcome people from all backgrounds and skill sets. No prior experience in writing or interviewing is required — anyone with an interest in the history of Hongkongers in the UK is encouraged to apply.
The expected commitment is approximately 8–10 hours per month.
If you are interested, please register via WhatsApp at 07468 650127. Kindly leave your name, email address, and phone number for follow-up.
The project will hold 1–2 workshops per month with suggested content as follows:
1. Working methods and interviewing skills
2. Research approaches and writing techniques
3. Reviewing and organising materials
4. Digitising documents and photographs
